SEDUCED BY SOUND

Solo Piano Concert Series

Seduced by Sound is a curated solo recital format in which Veronique Vanhoucke explores the seductive power of sound across styles, periods and aesthetic worlds.

Each edition is conceived as a dramaturgical journey rather than a traditional recital. Works by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Janáček, Glass, Adams, Ligeti, Cowell and Crumb coexist within a carefully structured musical narrative.

From classical architecture to romantic intensity, from minimalism to experimental sound worlds, the programme unfolds as a gradual transformation of listening itself. Spoken reflections by the pianist create moments of intimacy and direct connection with the audience, revealing the artistic threads that link seemingly contrasting repertoires.

Rather than presenting a fixed programme, Seduced by Sound adapts to venue and context, allowing flexibility in duration and repertoire while maintaining a strong artistic identity.

A recital format where sensuality, structure and contemporary awareness meet in a single performative arc.
